Halloween

Halloween was great fun this year. This year, I let Luke pick his own costume and tries to find something for Evan that might go along with Luke's costume. Luke decided to be a cowboy or as he says, "woody!" So I found a cute farmer costume for Evan. My boys were set to look amazing!! So I asked the babysitter to get them ready so I could run by moms, the neighbors, and grandma Fern's. When I arrived, she said Evan refused to wear costume. So we got to mom's and I tried his costume again but it was still a no go. When I got home, I tried again and still he wasn't having it. So we visited the neighbor, The Proctors, and Grandma Fern all without Evan being dressed. I will say that Luke wore his costume with pride. Finally, we went to church and all the kids were dressed so cute. Evans friend, Jesse was so precious as you can see in the below pictures. I was amazed that after we tricker treated, I finally was able to connivence Evan to put his costume on. After church, we visited The Daffron's. Even though it was a bit of a fight, it was so worth it so see both of my boys looking so cute.

Never a dull moment

In our lives, there is never a dull moment! All this week Evan has been sick. We went to doctor on Sunday and sadly he had not improved so we went to see our Doctor on Thursday. Now, it has been a week and for the most part, he is feeling better.

Just when I get one better Luke starts talking like his throat is hurting. Then, Jeff informed me that his throats hurting! Hopefully this mommy doesn't get sick because someone has got to take care of these boys!

Oh yes, this month is pastor appreciation. I had Luke create cards for Bro. Steve and Mrs. Judy. We even decided to mail them. This was the first time Luke had ever mailed anything and he loved it.

I will close with a funny. Nearly daily, Luke has to go to the bathroom while we are on the road. This time, I decided to catch a photo of this mess. He has mastered this process and proceeds to open door, stand in the doorway, and lets it rip! I can't even tell you how many times very nice people have stopped to check on us. I am glad there are still kind folks out there that are willing to lend a hand if ever I was in need! I am certain they don't want to help me with my usual cause of being on the side of the road ha!

Crazy

It has been another crazy week. On Wednesday, I headed to Little Rock. On the way, I received a picture of one of my favorite people, even if she was wearing a Texas longhorn shirt! Lesa and I worked very late and then got up early for meetings on Thursday. After a busy day of meetings, we rewarded ourselves with Japanese! Again, we worked late. During the day, I received a scary picture of my nephews head. Late that night, his mom took him to the hospital after not being comfortable with the answer she got at the doctors. Around 2 am, I had given up on her calling me with an update so I called. She said Keyton would be transferred to Children's. He was airlifted and I was so thankful that The Lord places me in the right place at the right time. Gladly, I can report that Keyton is going to be just fine and actually got to come home Friday evening. God is good!! While at the hospital, I received a cute picture of Luke and he claims he was dressed like a cowboy! Ha!

Well that's all I have, enjoy the pictures!

Random post

So I know this post and the pictures are very random but this is what I have been up to the last few days.

Luke got a new hair do! I found this precious sticky note on Facebook and wanted to share. I got to eat lunch with the cutest boy I know, we'll besides my own children. Finally, I was sent this crazy picture of my nephews head. It freaked me out. My SIL took him to doctor and he said to keep and eye on it and if there were changes go to ER. I told her I would go now and she did. As I type this, I am sitting at Children's hospital waiting on Air Evac to arrive with precious Keyton. Please send up prayers that the doctors will be able to provide healing for this precious angel. God is good in all things.

Fall, my favorite time of year!

I love all things fall: football, fall smells, leaves, weather, etc! Life has been so good and I just love taking time to relax and enjoy all things fall. We broke out a few decorations and if I were rich, I would decorate our entire house in fall decor! Luke has been doing several crafts. Below, you will see a pumpkin craft he put together.

I have finally ordered the kiddos their costumes. Luke is going to be a cowboy and Evan will be a farmer.

Well I am heading to bed soon but for now, it is back to football and post season baseball! Did I mention I love this time of year?

Before I go, just wanted to ask everyone to please lift Clay Maples, a teenager in our church who is fighting leukemia, up in prayers!

Turkey Trot

Oh we love Turkey Trot. For our family, it means a great parade with more candy than necessary. It also means a great time with Jeff's family which includes an amazing meal (especially the famous spicy chicken). The kids had a great time fighting for candy during the parade. Luke kept saying, "pred out, pred out" (spread out). I loved how excited he would get each time he got a piece of candy. He would say, "ha,ha I got some candy" every time he picked a piece up. We certainly had to have a lesson in sharing with others. Below are some pictures showing the great time we had. The only sad note, is that they no longer throw turkeys out of planes. That is something that I always thought was neat as a kid but unfortunately, my kids most likely will not experience that!

Learning to catch

So we have been trying to teach Luke to catch the ball. We have worked with the football and baseball. He always does the same thing, closes his eyes. Someone suggested we get some of those Velcro discs and work with his using those. He is starting to get pretty good! The kid loves sports or "ports" as Luke would say.

Catching up

Well we have been so busy the last few weeks, I have fallen behind on my blog. Jeff has pretty much been gone for two weeks but got home on Thursday. We are so glad to have him back.

This week we decided to try to break Evan from the bottle but unfortunately, he decided the trick was on us. He quit going to the bathroom so we had a visit to the doctor and decided to give him his bottle back and the doctor also recommended a ultrasound of his kidneys. He will do this on Monday.

Last weekend, Ethan came over to stay. The boys had a great time and I was worn out, ha!

Finally, not much else has occurred that is very interesting except that Luke finally decided to show me that he can count and did so beautifully all the way to 19!
