Lake Fun

Last weekend we went to the lake.  It was a lot of fun but very different with two kids.  This was Evan's first trip to the lake and his first boat ride.  He didn't much care for being in the water but sure loved riding on the boat.  He kept yelling, "go faster, daddy!"  It was too cute.

Luke loved the water and really wants to learn how to swim.

This is what happens when you forget to put on a little swimmer before you get in the water.

Evan loves Oatmeal pies!

I wanted to get them in a nice photo together but the only way to keep them still was to feed their mouth.

Sorry Evan, you are way to small to drive the boat!

We finished our evening enjoying the sun set.  We are so blessed to live in a place of such beauty.

Day 5

So here is Day 5.  I honestly look rough but by the time this photo was taken, i was physically and mentally drained.

With that being said, this post is going to be short.  I love how comfortable this outfit is.  The leggings came from Forever 21 and the were $1.50.  The top came from Forever 21, I believe and I think it was $14.  The necklace and earring set were $1 and were once again from Jewelry Galore.

With regards to weight loss, there is nothing new to report.  I am hoping I can reach my 15 pound goal by Monday so when I take Penny for her birthday lunch, I  can eat my reward!

Goodnight all, I must go watch my favorite show "Big Brother!"

Luke's Tball season

Luke's season has come to an end as I posted last night.  Luke did such an amazing job and I am so proud of him.

Our little Benton boy with his daddy's old ball number on his back.

He is so proud of himself when he gets on base.  I have also noticed that he can run pretty fast when someone is chasing him.

How handsome is this boy!

Daffron cattle Company team picture.  It was such a fun year and a great group of boys.

Luke and coach daddy!

This kid did some serious hitting.  Luke we are so proud of you.

Day 4

Well on Day 4, I decided to wear my most dangerous outfit.  Considering I have two young children and I am constantly running everywhere, I am concerned this outfit's life is very limited.

I got these white pant at Forever 21 for $13.  The top also came from Forever 21 and I believe it cost $17.  The sandals once again came from Wet Seal for $3.  Finally, the pearl necklace and earring set came from Jewelry Galore for $1.  I am still amazed that I can accessorize for so cheap.

I will end my post by saying that I am now down 13.8 pounds which means I am only 1.2 pounds away from my next reward (chips, cheese dip, and salsa).

Tomorrow will be the outfit that I will need feedback on.  I am going to rock it out but need to know if it looks okay or not so if your reading this post please come back tomorrow.  Goodnight all!

Day 3

Well day 3 is here.  I had to skip Saturday because I am certain no one wants to see what a mother of two wears while she is cleaning house and running after kids.  I also skipped Sunday because I honestly just don't have time between two services and a nap(haha)!

Please forgive my messy hair and sweat.  I forgot to get a picture this morning and had to get it taking after sitting outside at Luke t-ball game.  Sadly, their season came to an end.  They played so good and Luke got on base every time.  He also caught a ball for the first time.  I am so proud of him.

So for today's outfit, I got the pants at forever 21 for $13.  The white cami is from forever 21 and cost $1.50.  The cute navy tank cost $6 and was from Aeropostale.  The navy sandals are from Wet Seal for $3.   Finally, the earrings once again came from jewelry galore for $1.

As you know, I am not much of a shopper so I found myself asking Crystal constantly what else I still needed.  It was hard to keep up with whether I had a shirt to go with the pants and whether I had a pair of shoes that would look right.

Lastly,  as of this mornings weigh-in, i am down 12.2 pounds.

Until tomorrow!

Day 2

Hello, it is Day 2 so it's time to share my next outfit.  First, let me say that I hate to iron so try to look pass the fact that I needed to do so.  Today lets start from the bottom up.

I bought the sandals at Wet Seal for $3.  Amazing right!  The pants are from Wet Seal and I was able to purchase them for $8.  I am told that this sea foam color is very popular right now.  I bought the little cami for $1.50 at Forever 21.  I honestly couldn't believe how cheap they were.  The top is from Gordman's for $17. Finally, I got the necklace and earrings(you can see them) for $1.

With regards to the weight loss, I lost another pound so that is a total of 11.2 pounds.  Sorry for the .2 but ladies you know that sometimes that is all you can manage and it is better than nothing.  Right now, I am trying to reach the 15 pound mark so that I can reward myself with Chips, Salsa and Cheese Dip.

Until tomorrow......

Father's Day

We had a blast on father's day.  Jeff's family had family in so on Saturday we started an early celebration.  Then on Sunday after church, we all gathered back again to eat left overs and say good-bye until next time to Jeff's Aunt Birdie and cousin Jessica.

The four Benton boys having a blast on the slip-in-slide.  They were a mess!

Garon enjoying the cool water.

Jeff's Aunt Birdie, Grandma "Fernan" as my boys call her, cousin Jessica, and wonderful father Bert.

Jeff Aunt Sue, Uncle Lenny, and Aunt Peggy also came up to visit.  They sure enjoyed watching the boys act crazy on the slip-in-slide.

More of the boys!

I love these kids.

Here is the wonderful father of our house.  The boys love him so much and he works so hard to provide for our family.  He completes us and I appriciate him so much.

I am so thankful that he finds time to do things like fishing with our boys.  We are blessed to have such a Godly man leading our house.

Here is my daddy.  He is a wonderful, Christan man and I am so thankful that he always made sure I knew and understood right from wrong.

Below is the whole Benton Crew which includes my father-in-law which did a wonderful job raising his son.  I am very thankful for the example you have set for him and set for my boys.

Mother's Day

Mother's day is so much more special now that I am a mother.  I am so blessed with two wonderful boys.  In addition to those blessings, I have been greatly blessed with wonderful mother's in my life.

My mom and dad.  I didn't get to see my mom on Mother's Day but I get to see her most days so I am sure she didn't mind.  Love you mom!

Here is the whole Benton crew.  As you can tell, it is virtually impossible to get all of us to look at the camera at the same time.

Grandma with her boys.

Luke an Evan posing for pictures.  They are so handsome like their daddy.

Grady and Garon always make for cute photos.

Luke was so excited to see his cousins.  He just loves Grady and tries to do everything he does.  I am sure these two are going to be best buddies.

Weight loss and new clothes

Wow a blog post all about me.  I got this great idea to do a series of blog post about how to dress trendy yet look professional and add info daily about my weight loss journey (I hope this will help me stay accountable).  I hope you enjoy and maybe you will see something you like or get some ideas for yourself.

I started a weight loss journey about two weeks ago.  I know many people would not agree with my diet of choice but it is working for me.  So far, I have lost 10 lbs.  I am so excited!

I have been working so hard and running myself ragged trying to keep up with the boys, family, and work that I have not really taking time for me.  I am sure all of you mom's out there totally understand what I am talking about.  Awhile back, one of my friends and I planned to taking a shopping trip to Springfield (by ourselves).  I am not much of a shopper and I really am not a stylish person.  I prefer a good pair of jeans and a t-shirt.  I am sure my husband would like to see me dress up occasionally.  To work, I usually wear a dress because it seems to cover up the fat better.

Anyhow, my friend is a big shopper.  When we got to Springfield, she was on a mission to bring me into the style of today.  I really hate to dig when shopping so I always spend too much money.  Well Crystal loves to dig so she went right to work.  All I had to do is sit back and try on what she gave me.  So over the next few days, I am going to post a few of my outfits.

This outfit is the first of many.  If you are anything like me, you would have never picked up these pants.  I got the pants from Wet Seal for $8.  I bought the shirt at Gordman's for $17.  I was also introduced to a fabulous jewelry store "Jewelry Galore."  Everything in the store is a dollar.  So I got a read and gold long necklace and huge red and gold earrings (I have been informed that Gold is in right now).   I bought the shoes while in Little Rock at Shoe Sensation for $17.

Cousin fun

Grady and Garon came to stay with grandma so we got to play.  The boys had so much fun.  Oh how they love each other.

Evan has no fear and climbed all the way to the top.

The sun was pretty hot but then came the rain.  So we got to head to grandmas for pizza!

Oh how I loved this when I was a kid and it warms my heart watching these two.

Grady was playing so hard, I could barely get him to slow down long enough for a picture.

And of course these two had to have their picture taken on the big rock they managed to climb.

The boys decided to pet the horse an mules and both humans and animals did great.

Evan was making me a little bit nervous but he loved the animals.  I can't wait to get him on one for a ride!

T-ball

And so it begins, Luke has begun to play sports and we have been running wild trying to keep up.

Poor Evan can't seem to understand why he doesn't get to play yet.

I love that Luke is practicing in his rain boots.  Silly boy.

Luke team!

Luke made it to first and he is ready to move around those bases and score another run for his team.

I love that he is sporting the "Benton" name and doing so very well.
