Fourth of July and a Birthday

For the Fourth, we celebrated with friends.  We visited the Daffron's and the kids had a blast.

This picture was the evidence I needed to get my rear back on track to eating healthy.  Regardless, I love the man sitting next to me and was glad we were able to get a photo together.

As I do each year, I brought sandwich cookies.  They are always a big hit and this year, I made them a little more festive.

This picture explains exactly why we have not spent the money on family photos.  It is pretty much impossoible to get these boys to stand still.  Oh well, that is what makes our family special.

This was a poor picture of the fireworks, but Gunner and friends did an amazing job putting on a show for the kiddos.

Evan and Gunner enjoying the fireworks and playing around.

My sweet nephew Ethan turned 9.  I cant believe how quick the years have gone by.  When he was born, I was still living at home with my parents so I was able to spend hours with this kiddo.  I love him to the moon and back.

To celebrate his birthday, we had a party at the Brumley's and then we went to "The Zone."  We road go-carts, played mini golf and just had a great time. Evan wanted to ride so I had to attempt to drive one of these suckers.

Jeff and Luke getting ready to rock the go-carts.

Randy and Maci were ready to fly and that is exactly what they did as they beat all of us!!

Country Boys

Oh how I love my country boys.  They are always decked out and ready to do work.

Evan has taken up his brother's love for boots.  Of course now that he can fit into the hand-me-downs he would like to wear them everywhere.

Precious Luke still loves to wear his Cowboy hat any time he gets a chance.  Honestly we have to put it up very high so that he doesn't wear it every day!

I know that one day Evan will kill me for this but seriously how funny is this.  He picked up one of my magazines as reading material. (Don't judge, you cant see anything gross, other than the toilet).

My boys and their wonderful father.  I love these three guys with all of my heart.  Thank you sweet Jesus for blessing my life in this way.

Luke and his work gloves.  He was busy practicing his roping and he really wanted to go on the other side of the fence.

Evan, like all the grandchildren, loves to climb the fence.  We are so blessed to be able to raise our boys so that they can learn life on the farm.

Play Date and T-Ball

A few weeks ago, Luke got to have a play date with one of his best buddies.  Luke and Jacob met in preschool.  I found it amazing that they both have the exact same birthday.  What is even more amazing is that Luke's other best friend, Landon, has the exact same birthday.

These boys kept us running all around the park.

I think they had a great time and I am looking forward to our next visit with Jacob's family.

T-ball season came and went already.  I think the boys had a good time regardless of not winning very many games.

How cute is this picture?  He is so handsome.

Look at that focus.

That ball is about to fly.

Luke really improved a great deal this year.  I am so proud of you son!  Next year, both boys will be playing t-ball together.

Family Love

Oh the love shared in a family is like no other.  We are so blessed to have great families and to have most of our family close by.

I love how you can see the love in Pa's face as he looks at Evan.  The boys are so blessed to have him in our lives.  Every time I see the boys with their Pa on the farm, I cant help but think about our best friends (Lindsay and Lance) who lost Lance's father way to early.  It hurts my heart as I think about all the fun that those guys would be having together on their farm; however, I know that he is in Heaven and for that reason we can all find joy.

My niece came to visit and it was a blessing to get this picture of all these ladies together.  This make 4 of the 5 generations that we still have with us.  My brother was not here for the picture but regardless, this is one I will cherish for years to come.  I love how my mom is showing such love to my granny.

Another picture of Pa but this time it is with Luke.  Luke was listening so well in church and I love how he has his hands placed on his Pa's.
