More boys and our babysitter

My boys are growing up so quickly. Evan is already 18 months old.  We went for his wellness checkup and he was 27 lbs and 35 inches tall.  We have been showing him some tough love lately.  He only gets one bottle and that is at night to go to sleep.  Also, we are letting him cry himself back to sleep if he wakes in the middle of the night.  This is very difficult because I find myself worrying about his ability to breath.  We learned that he has asthma and he is currently on an inhaler twice a day.

Children just seem like angels as they sleep.

Evan is into everything now.  In this picture, I searched the entire house trying to find him.  I finally heard a noise coming from my cabinet.  The funny part is that he wanted to stay in there.

Luke and Evan were very excited when Ella came to visit at Killion's.  Luke is such a big boy and loves to help with babies.  He has such a good heart even though it doesn't always show.  Luke continues to ask lots of questions about Heaven, God, Jesus and so forth.  I assume he must have learned about Jesus dying on the cross because now he thinks that he will die on a cross.  It is very interesting to listen to an almost 4 year old talk about Heaven.  On Friday, one of Killion's puppies got ran over.  I told Luke it died and was going to Heaven.  He asked, "Mom can we stay until it goes?"

And this is the wonderful babysitter that I talk about often.  She is so good to send me pictures throughout the day.  I know I miss alot of things that my children do and say given that I am a working mom.  I am glad that she treats them just like they are her own.  My children are so loved and we are so thankful.

Jeff has been gone alot lately which makes us sad but when he is home, this is what you will likely see in my living room.  The kids love to play and wrestle with their daddy.

These brothers are so rough on each other but they love each other so much.

Here is another picture of Killion and her family.  Boston is her baby and I am pretty sure my kids think he is part of their family. HA!

More evidence that Evan enjoys hiding from people.  He is so funny.

Random thoughts:

  • I am super excited about thanksgiving.
  • I have already picked out what I am bringing to each house for Thanksgiving: Deviled eggs, green bean casserole, pecan pie cobbler (pinterest), and banana toffee pie (pinterest).
  • Today was Maci's birthday party.  Luke was so funny on the way there.  I told him Maci was his cousin.  He asked who else was his cousin.  I told him: Ethan, Brilee, Maci, Keyton, Grady and Garron.  He said so Brilee isn't my cousin anymore because she wont let me play with her toys.  Kids are so silly.  By the way, he told me that he would take back that statement once we got to Aunt CO-Co's.
  • Evan's new favorite words are "hold me, blankie, milk, buckle."
  • I have started the final step of my internship and I am so ready for it to end.  Only 4 more weeks and I may never have to pay for a college class again.
  • Luke created the cutest card for our neighbor because they put up Christmas lights.
