Sunday school fun and great friends

This past weekend, Jeff and I enjoyed a night without kids. We went with our Sunday school class and ate dinner and went bowling. I am a very competitive person and hated getting beat at bowling but, since I have only bowled like 5 times in my life I can deal with losing. We had a great time but our poor pastor hurt his foot. I am looking forward to our next outing . The best part of not having our kiddos for a night was sleeping past 7 o'clock!

On Saturday, we had the Newtons over. The boys had such a great time and we enjoyed a lot of wonderful fried food. Jeff got a new deep fryer and I am loving it.

Birthday, death, and snow

So much has happened in the last few days.

Jeff had a birthday and we got him an ice cream cake which is his favorite. The boys picked one out that had a deer on it. I think they were more excited than Jeff.

This week is spring break and while many people are enjoying the nice warmth of the beach, we got to enjoy the snow. It is important to note that we did not travel to Colorado to enjoy this snow, God just felt it was needed her in good ol' Arkansas. Me and the boys played outside for a while. They wanted a snowman but really didn't help me. Oh well, I didn't do to bad on my own.

Yesterday, I received news that one of my cousins had passed away. She has been fighting cancer for a while and she finally won her victory and received her crown in Heaven. I loved that I had an opportunity to see her grow as a Christian through her post on Facebook. God is good in all things.

Growing boys

I can't believe Luke is already four and Evan will be two in a few months. Time seems to fly by and I have been missing getting to hold a little baby. Fortunately for us, Jeff's brother and SIL are having another baby.

We have began serious potty training with Evan and so far he has done pretty good. He has done so good that Killion said she was ready to try underwear. I think that must have frightened him because he had a rough week. This weekend I decided to try him in underwear. We have made it for 2 1/2 hours so far without any accidents. Jeff suggested we get pictures of him and I am so glad he did. These underwear pics may be the cutest things I have ever seen. I also through a pic of Luke in so everyone can see how big he has gotten.

Evan is literally getting into everything an I can leave him for very long. This morning, I went in the kitchen and he was in a stool and looking very guilty. He had a good reason since he had colored all over my calendar. Guess that was better than the wall.

On another note, the boys still hate sleeping in an haven't figured out how to make that happen. This morning at 6:15 they were playing in the tent. At least they woke up in good moods.

Ball game and exercise

Last weekend, we went to watch Ethan play ball. In upwards, they don't keep score but my BIL always keeps score(ha)! He counted that Ethan had 30 points. This completely blew my mind considering I never scored that many points in my entire career. I guess the most amazing thing is that he is only 7 years old. It was great fun!

Since Jeff was out of town, we followed upwards up with fun time at Nana's. I had the kids exercise in hopes I might wear them down at some point. They did exercises for over 30 minutes and were still going strong. I wish I could go at their pace and still have energy left over.
